স্বাধীনতা কমপ্লেক্স (মিনি বাংলাদেশ) হলো বাংলাদেশের চট্টগ্রাম শহরে অবস্থিত একটি পার্ক। এটি মূলত একটি থিম পার্ক যেখানে বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন জেলার দৃষ্টিনন্দন এবং ঐতিহাসিক স্থাপনাগুলোকে অবিকল নতুন করে রূপায়ণ করা হয়েছে।

অবস্থান

স্বাধীনতা কমপ্লেক্স (মিনি বাংলাদেশ) চট্টগ্রাম শহরের চান্দগাঁও থানাধীন, বহদ্দারহাট বাস টার্মিনালের পাশেই অবস্থিত। স্বাধীনতা কমপ্লেক্স উত্তর-পূর্ব পাশে কালুরঘাট স্বাধীন বাংলা বেতার কেন্দ্র অবস্থিত।

 

নামকরণ ও প্রতিষ্ঠা

মুক্তিযুদ্ধ মন্ত্রণালয়ের অধীনে বাংলাদেশের প্রাক্তন রাষ্ট্রপতি জিয়াউর রহমানের নামে শহীদ জিয়া স্মৃতি কমপ্লেক্স হিসেবে ২০০৬ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। পরবর্তীতে এটিকে স্বাধীনতা কমপ্লেক্স নামে নামকরণ করা হয়। বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন জেলার দৃষ্টিনন্দন ও ঐতিহাসিক স্থাপনাগুলোর সমন্বয়ে প্রতিষ্ঠিত থিম পার্ক হওয়ায় এটি মিনি বাংলাদেশ নামেও পরিচিত।

প্রবেশ মূল্য

সপ্তাহের সাত (৭) দিনই এ স্বাধীনতা কমপ্লেক্স খোলা থাকে। সকাল ১০ টা থেকে রাত্ ৮ টা পর্যন্ত দিনব্যাপী নানাবয়সী দর্শনার্থীদের ভীড়ে মুখরিত থাকে। এটির প্রবেশ মূল্য একশত পঞ্চশ (১৫০) টাকা।

বিবরণ

মিনি বাংলাদেশে প্রবেশ করতেই দেখা যাবে জাতীয় সংসদ ভবন। সংসদ ভবন ভবনের নিচে ও চারপাশে আছে জলরাশি। একটু বামে গেলে আছে আধুনিক স্থাপত্যের ছোঁয়ায় তৈরি প্রায় (দুইশত পঞ্চশ) ২৫০ ফুট উচ্চতার ঘূর্ণায়মান “রিভলবিং রেস্টুরেন্ট”। এ রেস্টুরেন্টে উঠলেই এক দৃষ্টিতে আসবে সমগ্র চট্টগ্রাম শহর। এখানে আরও দেখা যাবে হাইকোর্ট, দরবার হল। দেশের এসব বর্ণিল ঐতিহ্য, স্থাপনা ও নান্দনিক স্মারক নিয়ে গড়ে উঠেছে স্বাধীনতা পার্ক (মিনি বাংলাদেশ)। চট্টগ্রাম নগরীর বহদ্দারহাট বাস টার্মিনাল সংলগ্ন এ পার্কটি যাত্রা শুরু করেছে নতুন অবয়ব নিয়ে। নতুন সাজে অপরূপ হয়ে উঠেছে মিনি বাংলাদেশ পার্কটি। অপরিচ্ছন্ন ঘাস কাটা হয়েছে । রং লেগেছে প্রতিটি গাছের গোড়ায় । রেপ্লিকাগুলো পরিষ্কার করা হয়েছে । সব স্থাপনায় নতুন রূপ দেওয়া হয়েছে। ৫টি ঝর্ণায় পানির ফোয়ারা চালু করা হয়েছে। বেশকিছু প্যাডেল বোট লেকের মধ্যে ছাড়া হয়েছে। পুরো পার্ক আলোকিত করা হয়েছে। বাচ্চাদের জন্য ৬টি বাম্পার কার চালু করা হয়েছে। ব্যতিক্রমী রিভলবিং টাওয়ার রেস্তোরাঁ চালুর পথে। ওয়াইফাই জোনে পার্কটিকে রূপান্তর করা হচ্ছে। শিশুদের জন্য নতুন নতুন রাইড আনা হচ্ছে চীন থেকে । পার্কের ভিতরে পৃথক তিনটি কিডস জোন আছে শিশুদের জন্য।  সম্প্রতি নানা অবহেলায় পড়ে থাকা পার্কটিকে নতুন রূপ দেওয়া হয়েছে। এখন দৈনিক হাজার হাজার মানুষ এই বিনোদন কেন্দ্রে আসেন। এটি দেশের গর্বের নান্দনিক ঐতিহ্য নিয়ে গড়ে ওঠেছে, তাই আমরা বলতে পারি বিনোদন কেন্দ্রটি হয়ে উঠুক পারিবারিক বিনোদন কেন্দ্র। সবাই যেন এখানে এসে একটা স্বস্তির নিঃশ্ব্বাস ফেলতে পারেন সেই চেষ্টাই থাকবে আমাদের। এখানকার পরিবেশ আগের চেয়ে অনেক পরিবর্তন হয়েছে। এখন এটি আসলেই মিনি বাংলাদেশে রূপ নিয়েছে। প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক রেপ্লিকানির্ভর স্বাধীনতা কমপ্লেক্স বা মিনি বাংলাদেশে আছে— আহসান মঞ্জিল, সংসদ ভবন, কার্জন হল, কান্তজির মন্দির, লালবাগ কেল্লা, বড়কুঠি, ছোট কুঠি, সোনা মসজিদ, পাহাড়পুর বিহার, দরবার হল, হাইকোর্ট, সেন্ট নিকোলাস চার্চ, শহীদ মিনার, জাতীয় স্মৃতিসৌধ, ট্রেনের নিচে ব্রিজ, ছয়টি কিউচ (বসার স্টল), চিরন্তন পল্লী। ফলে এটি দর্শনার্থীদের কাছে স্বাধীনতা কমপ্লেক্স (মিনি বাংলাদেশ) হিসেবে পরিচিত। তাছাড়া ২৪ তলা সমপরিমাণ সুউচ্চ রিভলবিং রেস্টুরেন্ট ও অ্যামিউজমেন্ট রাইডটি দর্শকদের কাছে অত্যন্ত আকর্ষণীয়। এখানে আছে মারমা, চাকমা, ত্রিপুরাসহ বিভিন্ন ক্ষুদ্র জাতিসত্তা ও বিভিন্ন জেলার ইতিহাস ও ঐতিহ্যনির্ভর পাড়ার রেপিকা ইত্যাদি। মিনি ট্রেন, পেডেল ট্রেন, ফ্যামিলি কোস্টার, প্যাডেল বোট, বেবি ক্যাসেল, বেলুন হুইল, মনোরেল, বাম্পার কার, মিউজিক সুইং, আরবি ট্রেন আছে শিশুসহ বিনোদন পিপাসুদের জন্য । চালু অপেক্ষায় আছে কয়েন বোট, সি ওয়ার্ল্ড ও কিডস জোন।

কিভাবে যাবেন

চট্টগ্রাম শহরের যেকোনো স্থান থেকে অটো রিক্সা বা সিএনজি ভাড়া করে চান্দগাঁও মিনি বাংলাদেশ পার্ক যাওয়া যায়, যার অবস্থান ভেদে ভাড়া লাগবে ১০০ টাকা থেকে ৫০০ টাকা পর্যন্ত। আর সিটি সার্ভিসে করে যেতে চাইলে শহরের যেকোন স্থান থেকে কালুরঘাটগামী বাসে করে সরাসরি স্বাধীনতা কমপ্লেক্সের সামনে নামতে পারবেন।

ঢাকা থেকে চট্টগ্রাম

ঢাকা থেকে রেল, সড়ক ও আকাশপথে চট্টগ্রাম যাওয়া যায়। ঢাকার সায়দাবাদ বা যে কোন বাস টার্মিনাল থেকে গ্রিন লাইন, হানিফ এন্টারপ্রাইজ, শ্যামলী, সৌদিয়া, সোহাগ, এস. আলম, ইউনিক, টি আর ট্রাভেলস, মডার্ন লাইন ইত্যাদি বিভিন্ন পরিবহনের এসি-নন এসি বাস চট্টগ্রামের উদ্দেশ্যে ছেড়ে যায়। শ্রেণী ভেদে বাসগুলোর প্রতি সীটের ভাড়া ৫০০ টাকা থেকে ২০০০ টাকার পর্যন্ত হয়ে থাকে। ঢাকা থেকে ট্রেনে চট্টগ্রাম ভ্রমণ করতে চাইলে কমলাপুর, বিমানবন্দর বা যে কোন রেলস্টেশান থেকে সুবর্ন এক্সপ্রেস, মহানগর প্রভাতী/গোধূলী, চট্টগ্রাম মেইলে, সোনার বাংলা, তূর্ণা-নিশীথা যাত্রা করতে পারেন। এছাড়া প্রায় কয়েক ঘন্টা পর পর নভোএয়ার, ইউএস বাংলা এয়ার ও আরও বেশ কিছু বিমান ঢাকা থেকে সরাসরি চট্টগ্রাম ফ্লাইট পরিচালনা করে থাকে।

কোথায় থাকবেন

চট্টগ্রাম শহরে বিভিন্ন মানের আবাসিক হোটেল রয়েছে রাত্রি যাপনের জন্য। একটু যাচাই করে আপনার সুবিধামত হোটেল ম্যানেজ করতে পারবেন নিশ্চিন্তে। তবে বিভিন্ন মানের বেশির ভাগ হোটেল গুলো স্টেশন রোড, নিউমার্কেট, আগ্রাবাদ, জিইসি এসব জায়গায় রয়েছে।

কোথায় খাবেন

চট্টগ্রামের ঐতিহ্যবাহী খাবারের স্বাদ নিতে চাইলে চলে যেতে পারেন হোটেল জামান-এ। আর মেজবানি খেতে চাইলে চলে যেতে পারেন চকবাজারসহ শহরের বিভিন্ন স্থানে অবস্থিত “মেজবান হাইলে আইয়্যুন”রেস্তোরায়। এছাড়াও চট্টগ্রাম শহরে ছড়িয়ে আছে বেশকিছু ভাল মানে হোটেল ও রেস্টুরেন্ট এদের মধ্যে ক্যাফে ৮৮, সেভেন ডেইজ, বোনানজা পোর্ট রেস্টুরেন্ট, ধাবা, বারকোড ক্যাফে, কোষ্টাল মারমেইড রেস্টুরেন্ট এন্ড লাউঞ্জ, মিলেঞ্জ রেস্টুরেন্ট, গ্রিডি গাটস, কাচ্ছি ডাইন, হান্ডি, গলফ গার্ডেন রেস্টুরেন্ট ইত্যাদি।

Shadinota Complex (Mini Bangladesh) is a park located in the city of Chattogram, Bangladesh. It is basically a theme park where the sights and historical buildings of different districts of Bangladesh have been recreated precisely. 

 

Location

Shadinota Complex (Mini Bangladesh) is located under Chandgaon Police Station, Chittagong City, next to Bahaddarhat Bus Terminal. Kalurghat Shadin Bangla Betar Kendra is situated on the north-east side of Shadinota Complex.

 

Naming & Establishment

It was established in 2006 as Shaheed Zia Memorial Complex named after the former President of Bangladesh Ziaur Rahman under Ministry of Liberation War. Later it was named as Independence Complex. It is also known as Mini Bangladesh as the theme park is established by combining the scenic and historical structures of different districts of Bangladesh.

 

Entrance fee

The Shadinota Complex is open seven (7) days a week. It is crowded with visitors of all ages from 10 am to 8 pm throughout the day. Its entry fee is one hundred and fifty (150) taka.

 

Details

Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan will be seen as soon as you enter Mini Bangladesh. There is water under and around the Parliament building. A little to the left is the revolving "Revolving Restaurant" with a modern architectural touch of about (two hundred and fifty) 250 feet high. The entire city of Chittagong will come in one view when you get to this restaurant. High Court, Durbar Hall can also be seen here. Shadinota Park (Mini Bangladesh) has been developed with these colorful traditions, structures and aesthetic monuments of the country. This park, adjacent to Bahaddarhat bus terminal of Chittagong city, has started its journey with a new look. Mini Bangladesh Park has become beautiful with new look. Untidy grass has been cut. Colors are at the base of every tree. Replicas have been cleared. All the installations have been given a new look. Water fountains have been introduced in 5 fountains. Several paddle boats are launched in the lake. The whole park is illuminated. 6 bumper cars have been launched for kids. The exceptional revolving tower restaurant is on the way. Converting the park into a WiFi zone. New rides for children are being brought from China. There are three separate kids zones inside the park for children. Recently, the park, which has been neglected for many years, has been given a new look. Now thousands of people visit this entertainment center daily. It is built with the proud aesthetic heritage of the country, so we can say the entertainment center becomes a family entertainment center. We will try so that everyone can come here and breathe a sigh of relief. The environment here has changed a lot. Now it has really turned into mini Bangladesh. There are archaeological replicas of Shadinota (Independence) Complex or Mini Bangladesh — Ahsan Manzil, Sangsad Bhavan, Curzon Hall, Kantjir Temple, Lalbagh Fort, Barakuthi, Chhota Kuthi, Sona Mosque, Paharpur Vihar, Durbar Hall, High Court, St. Nicholas Church, Shaheed Minar, National Memorial, Bridge under the train, six kiches (seating stalls), eternal countryside. As a result, it is known to visitors as the Shadinota Complex (Mini Bangladesh). Moreover, the 24-storey high revolving restaurant and amusement ride are very attractive to the visitors. There are Marma, Chakma, Tripura and other small ethnicities and the history and traditions of different districts like Repika etc. Mini Train, Pedal Train, Family Coaster, Paddle Boat, Baby Castle, Balloon Wheel, Monorail, Bumper Car, Music Swing, Arabic Train are there for entertainment lovers with children. Coin Boat, Sea World and Kids Zone are on standby.

Gow to Go

You can go to Chandgaon Mini Bangladesh Park by hiring an auto rickshaw or CNG from anywhere in Chittagong city, the fare will cost from Tk 100 to Tk 500 depending on the location. And if you want to take the city service, you can take a bus bound for Kalurghat from anywhere in the city and get off directly in front of the Shadinota Complex.

Dhaka to Chittagong

Chittagong can be reached from Dhaka by rail, road and air. From Sayedabad or any bus terminal in Dhaka Green Line, Hanif Enterprise, Shyamoli, Saudia, Sohag, S. Alam, Unique, TR Travels, Modern Line etc. AC-Non AC buses of various transports leave for Chittagong. Depending on the class, the bus fares range from Tk 500 to Tk 2000 per seat. If you want to travel to Chittagong by train from Dhaka, you can take Suborn Express, Mahanagar Prabhati/Godhuli, Chittagong Mail, Sonar Bangla, Turna-Nishitha from Kamalapur, Airport or any railway station. Apart from this, NovoAir, US Bangla Air and several other airlines operate direct flights from Dhaka to Chittagong every few hours.

Where will You Stay

Chittagong city has various quality residential hotels for overnight stay. By checking a little, you can manage the hotel at your convenience. However, most of the hotels of different quality are located in Station Road, Newmarket, Agrabad, GEC.

Where to Eat

If you want to taste the traditional food of Chittagong, you can go to Hotel Zaman. And if you want to eat mezbani, you can go to "Mezban Haile Ayoun" restaurant located in different parts of the city including Chowkbazar. Also, Chittagong city has several good hotels and restaurants among them Cafe 88, Seven Days, Bonanza Port Restaurant, Dhaba, Barcode Cafe, Coastal Mermaid Restaurant and Lounge, Milenge Restaurant, Greedy Guts, Kachhi Dine, Handi, Golf Garden Restaurant etc.
