Dear Salma,
I hope you are healthy and happy when you receive this message. As the rainy season has only recently started, I felt compelled to sit down and write about this magical time of year.
There is a calmness and sense of longing when I hear raindrops tapping on my windowpane. It seems as though nature herself has chosen to entertain us with her beautiful melodies. The soothing touch of rain is now quenching and revitalizing the land, which has been dried up and worn out by the summer's heat. Isn't the scent of moist earth after the first rain simply magical?
On these rainy days, I find that I'm drawn to the warm comforts of my house. Nothing beats cozying up with a nice book, a hot cup of tea, and the steady patter of rain in the distance. It's the ideal chance to do all the reading and reflecting that life's busy schedule frequently prevents.
Previously alive with bustle, the streets now have a new feel. The city appears to slow down a little bit as umbrellas of different sizes and hues bob down the pavements, urging us to find beauty in life's most straightforward experiences. Do you find it curiously calming to watch the rains make complex patterns on the window glass?
But I'm interested in things outside as well, not only within. In the rain, the outer world comes to life. The trees appear to move in a rhythmic dance as they celebrate the life-giving rainwater that has fallen from the sky. Under the cover of the leaves, birds find refuge, their melodious melodies becoming more quiet. The gardens, too! Oh, how they come to life in a riot of hues when the flowers blossom and the dew glistens on the leaves.
Of course, the wet season has its own set of difficulties. Traffic turns into a bit of a nightmare, and avoiding puddles while constantly fighting the elements is quite the experience. However, even in these small annoyances, there is a feeling of common experience that unites us all and causes us to grin at each other's problems.
I can hear the rain outside getting heavier as I type this letter. It appears as though the sky are performing a large symphony just for us. So, my dear friend, wherever you are, I hope this letter adds a little of the charm of the rainy season to your day. May you discover happiness in the sound of the rain, beauty in the sparkling landscapes, and a nice spot to enjoy its peace.
Keep dry and make the most of the rainy season!
Your Regards,
Alim
